Pitching a tent "outdoor"

Pitching a tent is not a easy work, though it just took 10 minutes to finish. To be honestly, without mum's help, I can never complete it.
Firstly, we placed all of the components on the front yard, so we could see everything clearly. There were two poles and one tent body.
Secondly, we lay out the tent body, then attach the poles through the tent body, it seemed simple but actually not. With cooperation, mum assembled the poles outside, and I went inside to the tent body to support the roof of the tent.
In the end, we found some nail to fix the tent body. All done! I was so excited! I took all of pillows and blankets to make my tent softer, because I have a plan, I decided to invite mum and dad to watch the stars with me tonight and it would be fun.

paper airplane challenge

This morning, we had a paper airplane competition. I searched on YouTube "how can make a paper airplane", I chose 2 video and followed. The first one I made was F15 airplane, it was hard to make but cool, the only problem was that it couldn't fly far. The second one was easy to make and it was amazing, it was flying through our whole living room to the garage, it was nearly 12 meters. In our family competition, I chose the second, and I was first, dad was second, and mum came last. It is an awesome day. This is my first one F15 airplane The upper one is my favorite, it can fly very far. I made this paper airplane, let's see how far it can get. By Eric

Awesome holiday of term 1

It was a fantastic holiday with my friends and family. We have been to so many beautiful and amazing places. All of us experienced a colourful and magnificent autumn. Day 1 , we set off at 10:30am. The first destination was Lake Pukaki, it was a gorgeous lake under sunshine, in addition, we eat salmon. For about 3 and a half hours drive, we managed to arrive at Twizel around 5pm, there was a beautiful lake, we went to holiday park in Twizel, we slept in a very tiny bunk room that only has 2 chairs, 1 table, 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed which is one at the top and one at the bottom and the other one was beside the bunk room. There were only one boys toilet and one girls. We went out with a torch so we can see and brush our teeth and wash our face I was scared in terror if someone is going to kidnapped us. There were a pile of rocks that we can step on them, so we can get across the little river. I helped mum to get cross of the rocks, I had to dry my feet. So dad pick me up, then he walked across to a rock that I can sit on and while my dad was walking, he stepped on my feet and my dad said in his mind it was so warm and comfortable, and I said : "ow!" so my dad got off my feet.
